He opened the door and peeped into the dark tunnel in the basement. He decided to go out of curiosity to confirm what Abiodun had told him about the alien world. ‘No David, don’t go in!’ Abiodun screamed at him in fear, but he was long gone. ‘David! David!’ She screamed into the tunnel but got no response. Without thinking, she took to the driveway and drove David’s car to the nearest police station.
‘Are you saying there were aliens in your house?’ A policeman asked with an amused look on his face. The other men chuckled, as they seemed to think she was crazy. ‘Yes! Don’t you get it? He’s stuck in there, and there’s no one to help him. They are going to kill him!’ she screamed in fear as she tugged at one of the policemen. The cops decided to accompany her to her home in the basement she spoke about.

However, when they got into her house, she could no longer find the tunnel in the basement. She looked lost as she frantically searched for the location of the entrance to the tunnel. ‘Where’s the tunnel?’ one of the policemen asked, irritated. They thought she was either mentally unstable or had played a prank on them. ‘It it was here. I swear it,’ she responded in shock.
‘Then show us where it is. We don’t like pranks and we might press charges against you if this occurs again,’ one of the policemen said with a frown. She went into the location of the entrance of the tunnel but did not see any old door. She looked at the policemen in confusion. ‘Please believe me. The door was here. He went in and never returned. I was in there too. The aliens will invade Earth in 30 days.’

‘We need to save David. We need to save the earth,’ she muttered in fear. The policemen who were fed up quietly took her out of the house and took her in their van. ‘Are we going back to the station? I am more than willing to help with the investigation. I hope we are not too late. The aliens are not nice and I’m scared for David….. I wish I had gone in with him,’ She said.
The policemen drove her to a facility that didn’t look like the police station where she had gone to complain earlier. ‘Where are we?’ Abiodun asked looking confused. ‘Where you’ll be alright’ the policeman driving the van answered as they drove into the facility. Then it dawned on her, that the policemen had driven her to the asylum, a place for the mentally deranged. ‘For goodness sake! I’m not crazy!’ Her heart beat against her chest as she exclaimed in fear.
